Saturday was very surreal and I had a complete identity change, I became Lucy.
I was working a promotional shift for Blacpack at Bullring Birmingham promoting the upcoming Lego Movie 2. My role was to be Elizabeth Bank’s character Lucy (the one with the goggles) and pose for photos and interact with the kids.
It was Black Friday weekend, super hot, but so fun to dance around and pose for photos in the character. I was among two other characters Emmet ad Sweet Mayhem who were played by actors/dancers who had worked in costumes before. Despite having no experience working in a costume, I had so much fun and was praised highly at the end of the day.
We managed to draw in a massive audience and even had queues of families waiting for us. I can’t wait to see the movie and find out who’s the better Lucy, me or Elizabeth Banks?
