There’s a few things in life I love; dogs, music, food and THE ROYALS!
I will openly admit for my Birthday last year I dressed up as The Queen and invited my friends to dress up as a member of The Royal Family and celebrate Harry and Meghan’s wedding. Therefore when I got the email saying The Duke of Cambridge was opening the new Brains Brewery in Cardiff, I had to be there! Kensington Palace had organised a Riyal Rota meaning only one radio reporter would be able to attend, thankfully that was me.
Naively I told lots of my family and friends that i was interviewing Prince William, alas not. I would be in the same room with him, holding a microphone hoping to pick up some audio of him… Turns out he is very quiet. But I did get a video of him unveiling the new plaque at Brains Brewery which I posted on Nation’s social media pages.
AND… He smiled at me, so regardless of not actually chatting to William I was in the same room as him, got photos as press for Nation & Dragon Radio, so all in all a great morning’s work!
All that’s next is The Queen to let me do the same…
