In my last blog I said how I thought I had Coronavirus and it embarrassingly turned out to be sunstroke.. Well I jinxed it!
Some how I ended up getting the old rona, I even joked about on air how dramatic people were being and that I just had “a common cold”.
Alas not, I actually got Coronavirus!
I didn’t have the common symptoms I’d read on the news; I thought I was coughing because I’d been around smokers, I thought I had a headache as I was dehydrated (I live in a desert after all) and I just didn’t take note of the fact I was having lots of naps. If you feel the tiniest bit ill go and get tested please!
It’s not very fun when you live alone in a foreign country but thankfully with the generosity and kindness of friends and listeners in Oman I came out the other end smiling.
Stay safe; wear a mask, wash your hands, social distance and don’t hug someone on their birthday (pretty sure that’s how I got it).
