What an honour!
I was invited to visit Dhofar in the south of Oman, during the Khareef season.
Dhofar for a few months a year, is home to beautiful greenery and a popular tourist destination across the Gulf.
The Ministry asked me to create a range of videos for Hi FM and their social media pages, to help promote the region.
Two nights, two days with just me and my iPhone, what could go wrong?
I teamed up with a local friend of mine, who kindly showed me around a variety of locations, including some stunning waterfalls.
We won’t discuss the uncomfortable night’s sleep, in a tent, on concrete!
It wasn’t all about nature, I also visited a heritage house and dressed in traditional Dhofari clothes, as well as attending a food festival where I tried; camel meat, fresh camel milk and a range of Omani dishes.
A quick flight back to Muscat and five videos later, the job was done.
